Hleb — a former resident of Shelter, a person who has gone through severe trials but has not lost hope. In 2022, he was detained and sentenced for participating in peaceful protests and administering a chat group. He served his term and was released only in 2024.
After his release, Hleb had to flee Belarus. He received a humanitarian visa and is now in Poland, trying to start his life anew. However, this is not easy: he has no legal right to work, no means of subsistence, no home, and lacks basic necessities.
Everything he owned has been sold just to survive. Hleb tries to take on odd jobs, but it’s not enough even for food and shelter. Now, he needs our support.
Fundraising goal: €3000
-
€2200 — room rent for 6 months
-
€800 — basic needs: food, clothing, daily expenses
To help means to give a person a chance to survive this difficult period while waiting for official legalization, to avoid ending up on the street, to recover after imprisonment, and to restore his faith in people and life.
